Product photography
Professional product photography is crucial to capture you products in the way you wish them to be seen in order for them to appeal to your target audience. This includes the style, lighting, props and location. Wether your intended use is for social media, advertising or e-commerce, getting the right look is key. I work with brands both big and small so whatever your requirements I am happy to help. Here is a brief outline of how the process works. If youβd rather just skip to the end and jump to my portfolio, click the handy button below.
Initial consultation
The first step is a consultation with me either by phone or email. In order for me to quote I will need some details about your business and products. To get an initial quote I will ask you a few questions about your products, the number of images you require, the location of the shoot and the style of photography you would like eg packshot, creative, lifestyle. If you arenβt sure which is best for you then have a look at my guide here.
Styling
We will discuss in more detail your brand identity, target audience, and how you want your product to be seen by your audience eg energetic, peaceful, practical, vibrant. We will discuss lighting, backgrounds and props as well as practicalities like date and time of the shoot. Depending on your requirements you may choose to use a set stylist which will be an additional cost and can be discussed in the initial consultation.
The Photoshoot
Photoshoots can take place either in my studio, or on location. Studio shoots can be done with you present or by me sending images to you for approval via email or WhatsApp. My studio is located in Cheadle Hulme. On the day of the shoot I will set up the lighting and set which will take between 1 and 2 hours depending on the complexity and location. I view each image on a large monitor so I can make any adjustments to styling and lighting as I go. The images taken will be approved by you as we go along. I have a large amount of backgrounds and props at my studio and use professional lighting, and medium format cameras.
Post processing and editing
Included in the quote is all basic editing in Capture One and Photoshop including exposure, cropping, colour correction and minor retouching to make the product look its best. Additional photoshop work may be required to remove objects, change colours, remove props/hands or correct imperfections in products. Unless agreed in the quote these changes may be at an extra cost.
Final Delivery
Images will be provided as full resolution jpegs and/or tiffs. If web optimised images are needed or images at a particular size or resolution this can be done also.
