Lifestyle Product Photography

Product photography can be broadly split in to three categories, lifestyle, creative and pack shot. If you’re not sure which one you are looking for then take a look at my handy guide here. Lifestyle product photography is where the product looks as it would do in the real world, being used out and about, at work, or in your home. It is supposed to look like a natural image of the product showing it in use or on display where it belongs. It is often used to show how a product should be used or where it could be displayed. I do most of my lifestyle product photography in my studio where I create β€˜sets’ to look like real world environments. Here I am able to have complete control of the set, lighting and props. If the studio isn’t suitable for your products then I shoot on location. Houses or offices of all styles can be hired by the day if you have larger items like furniture, get in touch and I can advise you on the best places to look depending on your requirements.

Creative product photography is where the product isn’t in a natural lifestyle setting, maybe it’s on a plain or coloured background or with different effects or props to show it off in a different more abstract way. If you think this is more what you are looking for then check out my Creative Product Photography page. Below are some examples of lifestyle product photography.
